You'll be responsible for generating detailed and accurate cost estimates, coordinating with vendors and architects, and helping guide projects through the pre-construction phase. You'll be the connective tissue between design, pricing, and execution, and your insight will directly influence project success. Responsibilities<ul><li>Prepare thorough cost estimates for custom builds, renovations, and additions</li><li>Review architectural plans and translate them into accurate material and labor takeoffs</li><li>Build and maintain strong relationships with subcontractors and suppliers to secure competitive pricing</li><li>Ensure the scopes of work are complete and aligned with project goals</li><li>Collaborate closely with the construction team to support feasibility and schedule planning</li><li>Identify cost-saving alternatives without sacrificing quality or vision</li><li>Assist with budgeting, bids, and construction cost tracking reports</li><li>Uphold and model Supple Homes' mission and values in all client and vendor interactions</li></ul>Qualifications<ul><li>At least 3 years of experience estimating in custom residential construction, preferably in the Bay Area</li><li>Strong ability to interpret construction documents and architectural drawings</li><li>Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills</li><li>Familiarity with local vendors, building codes, and construction processes</li><li>Proficiency with Google Workspace, BuilderTrend, and Microsoft Office</li><li>Clear, confident communicator with excellent negotiation skills</li><li>Team player with a growth mindset and strong alignment with our company values</li></ul>Compensation &amp; Benefits<ul><li>This is a full-time, in-office role based in Menlo Park, CA.
